Yellow's interface is built around a few stable places. Once you know what each one does, every screen becomes easier to read.

The layout

When you sign in you land on the Dashboard with three regions visible:

  • Left rail — a vertical strip with the main navigation. From top to bottom: the Yellow logo (opens this help), the Dashboard icon, the Explorer icon, and any optional shortcuts your organization configures. Click an icon to switch panel; click the same icon again to collapse it.
  • Main area — the content of whichever panel you opened. Spans most of the screen.
  • User menu — bottom-left corner. Shows your name and the current tenant. Click to switch tenant, open settings, or sign out.

The current tenant is also shown in the window/tab title — handy when you have several Yellow tabs open at once.

The Explorer

The Explorer is where you spend most of your time. It has two columns:

  • Sidebar — a tree of schemas → models. Click a model to open its list.
  • Content pane — the list of instances for the selected model. Filters live above the list; the + New button opens the create form.

A search field at the top of the sidebar filters the tree by name — useful when you have many schemas.

The Dashboard

The Dashboard is a configurable grid of widgets (see The dashboard). It is the screen Yellow lands you on after sign-in unless you have set a different default.

The chat panel

The AI assistant lives in a slide-in chat panel anchored to the right side of the screen. Open it from the AI icon in the left rail. The panel does not interrupt the page you are on — you can keep browsing while it works. See The AI assistant.

Tenant switcher

Click the user menu → Switch tenant to jump to another workspace. The page reloads bound to the new tenant, and only data from that tenant is visible until you switch again. See Tenants.

Help

You are reading the help right now. Open it from the Yellow logo at the top of the left rail at any time. Articles are organised by section in the left sidebar of this panel; the language matches your current interface language.
